Refund & Returns Policy – MorGweder Jewellery

At MorGweder Jewellery, every piece is individually handcrafted to order. As all items are bespoke, certain return conditions apply under UK consumer law. This policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges.

1. Returns – Bespoke Items

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, bespoke or personalised items cannot be returned unless they are faulty. As all MorGweder Jewellery pieces are handmade to order, we are unable to accept returns for reasons such as change of mind, incorrect ordering, or a change in personal preference.

1.1 Returns Due to Defects

You may return an item within 30 days of delivery if you believe it has a serious manufacturing defect.

To be eligible for a defect-related return, your item must be:

  • Unused
  • In its original condition
  • In its original packaging

We reserve the right to inspect all returned items before approving a refund or replacement. Items returned after 30 days cannot be accepted unless required by applicable consumer law.

2. Sizing Adjustments

  • Minor adjustments (up to a quarter size up or down) are offered free of charge This only applies to rings without gemstones i.e.plain metal bands . You will only need to cover the cost of postage to us.
  • If the size is significantly incorrect and cannot be altered, a new piece will need to be made. The full product price will apply.

3. Non-Returnable Items

  • Gift cards
  • Bespoke or personalised jewellery (except where faulty)
  • Items returned in a used, worn, damaged, or altered condition not due to our error

4. Refunds (Defective Items Only)

Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will contact you to confirm approval or rejection of your refund request.

If approved, a refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Processing times vary depending on your bank or card provider.

5. Exchanges

Exchanges are offered only for items that are defective or damaged. To request an exchange, please email tracie@morgweder-jewellery.co.uk with your order number and photos of the issue.

6. Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of the return once it is approved.

If the gift giver received the item first, the refund will be issued to them.

7. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return postage costs
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable
  • If a refund is approved, the cost of return postage may be deducted from the refund amount

For items valued at £75 or more, we strongly recommend using a trackable or insured shipping service. MorGweder Jewellery cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

8. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if your jewellery is faulty.
